Care
Prenatal Care
Each appointment is structured to allow dedicated and ample time for comprehensive physical assessment for both mother and baby, evidence-based education on nutrition, exercise, and pregnancy wellness, and open discussion of emotional well-being and any concerns identified by the parents or midwife.
Labor
Your midwife is available to you by phone as labor begins and progresses. Once labor becomes active, the midwife joins the family at home to provide continuous care-monitoring mother and baby, supporting labor, assisting with birth and honoring the family’s preferences. Immediate postpartum care includes close monitoring of mother and newborn, a complete newborn exam and support as the family settles in to rest together.
Postpartum
A postpartum home visit is completed at 24-36 hours of birth for maternal and newborn physical assessment. Additional visits occur at 2 weeks, 4 weeks if desired, and 6 weeks postpartum for clinical questions or concerns.
On Call Support
Your midwife provides ongoing availability by phone and text throughout pregnancy and postpartum to address questions, concerns, and time sensitive needs.
Midwifery care is a meaningful investment in personalized support throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
The global fee for midwifery care is $6000.00.
Childbirth Education
is included in both Midwifery and Monitrice care.
Monitrice/Doula Support
For families seeking prenatal and labor support while planning a hospital birth, monitrice care offers a supportive option.
Prenatal Care
Families will receive primary care from their obstetrician. In addition to routine OB care, I provide supplemental support throughout pregnancy, including education, on call availability and guidance.
Labor
During early and active labor I may provide in-home support to low risk clients with maternal and fetal assessments and assist with transition to the hospital for delivery. I remain with the family during labor and birth in the hospital and provide immediate postpartum support including breastfeeding assistance.
Postpartum
I will schedule 1-2 follow up visits with the family during the 6 week postpartum period. I will remain on call for questions, or time sensitive concerns for up to 6 weeks postpartum.
Monitrice support is provided for a separate flat fee of $1800, and is intended as supplemental education and labor support alongside obstetric care.
